It is estimated that eight out of 10 people desire to write a book. Even more interesting is that only 5% of that eight out of 10 will actually ever published a book. And furthermore, only point 00 to 5%. Of that 5% will sell over 1000 copies of their book.

That’s something that anyone can do, regardless of their prior experience or knowledge in writing.
The statistics cited can be discouraging to aspiring authors, but this shouldn’t dissuade them from their goal. Like anything else in life, writing a book and staying true to your vision requires a lot of hard work, persistence, and focus. Anyone can do this, regardless of their experience or knowledge in writing.

First Tip

I thought it was something that only published authors could do. But then something happened that changed my mind. I had an idea for a book, and I started to write it. I didn’t know if people would like it, but I was compelled to write it. The more I wrote, the more excited I got, and the more confident I became.

So if you have an idea for a book, don’t be afraid to pursue it. You might be surprised at how successful you can be. But as I really focused and look back on my journey, I realized that I had a very, very powerful story to tell the world. I realized that if I didn’t tell my story to the world, I would be doing the world a disservice.

Second Tip

But failure doesn’t have to mean giving up, as long as you keep trying. I moved back to the US, got a job, and then started a new startup venture, which had some success. But I had to liquidate that outcome after my partner and I split.

It was crazy, because I didn’t know what I was gonna do. I was kind of lost, I was trying to figure out how to support myself. I was just networking one day, and I was telling people this story that I’m telling you.

How to Become an Award-Winning Author - What is Your Story?

But who am I I’m just a regular guy. And as I really sat down, and I started to capture my thoughts on paper, like this book, idea, transmute it from a project into a call.

Third Tip

Dedicating my book. As I was writing those words to my potential readers, I was really writing those words to myself, because I had to answer my calling to abandon the status quo, follow the road that taken and discover the person I was truly meant to become. The person I was truly meant to become was not just this athlete, not just as entrepreneur, but I was destined to become an author as well, because I had a hell of a story to tell.

I just didn’t see it myself. Somebody had to look at me and unlock that potential to give me the courage and the confidence to share my story with the world.
I had no idea that my life had the potential to be so full of meaning and purpose until I took the time to look into my heart and understand how special I really am. As I’m speaking these words to you, you have a powerful story to tell the world. But are you going to have the confidence and the courageousness, to share? It’s kind of crazy to think about all that’s happened since my book came out.

Forth Tip

As an author, I truly believe that writing your own book can change your life. I didn’t just write a book, I created a business around it. I now have a platform to share my story and learn from others who have gone before me.

I also did a Canada book tour, and I’ve been to Australia and New Zealand. I met a lot of great people, and I’ve been able to expand my brand and reach out to new potential clients.

I’ve been on countless podcasts, and radio interviews, have launched this YouTube channel. After publishing my book and opening up my company.

I’ve gotten invited to be a part of different groups and memberships, because of this opportunity to write this book, like, my life completely changed after I decided to not only to write my thoughts down on paper, but to publish it, and share it with the world.

Have a Reason

Since I answered my calling to abandon status quo and explore my true identity, my life has changed for the better.

You too, can experience this. But you have to stick with that you have to stay the course. Like there’s a reason why. There is a reason why you’re doing this. And you have to keep reminding yourself of that because sometimes it’s easy to forget.
You have to have a reason to do anything. If you don’t have a reason, then any reason will do. But if you have a reason, then stay with it. Don’t change your course because somebody tells you that it’s not the right thing to do. Stick to your purpose.
